Ola + Paul : Guild Inn Engagement

Tuesday, October 26th, 2010

The story of their engagement was something that was straight out of a novel or a movie… certainly not one that you would actually think to happen in real life. To Ola and Paul, it was reality all right… how did they meet? Oh, you know. Their mothers had a large part to play. That’s right, their mothers. The conversation at church went something like… “Oh! You have a son that age? Well, I have a daughter about the same age… they should meet.”

Ola and Paul were both involved with other people at the time but when the timing was right, Paul was urged by his mother to email Ola… email a girl he had never met or spoken to before. So he did. According to him, the email read something like a resume and started out with something along the lines of: “Hi, You don’t know me but…” and the rest played out like a blockbuster romantic movie. This is the stuff Hollywood is made of!

Ola & Paul, you are both beautiful souls and it was incredibly fun hanging out with you and documenting your love. I absolutely cannot wait to see what your wedding day has in store.

Much love and hugs, Jenne.

Boys… gotta love ‘em, especially when they have an archway dedicated just for them!

Combination of sweet and sultry… rawr.

The light at the Guild Inn was just incredible!

The light at the Scarborough Bluffs was just as incredible… just an all-around amazing light day!

Absolutely ADORE this last series… J’adore!

Cameron : Wee Little Baby

Monday, October 11th, 2010

Newborns are just incredible little things. They sleep, they cry, they lie content in their parents’ arms. And they smell sooo good! I had the opportunity to document two amazing moments in Cameron’s life… before his birth while Mary and Tom patiently awaited his entrance into the world and his first week as a newborn, all ready to take the world by storm.

Cameron is the most adorable little baby… he was a great teeny model and as far as newborns go, pretty darn patient. As long as he was fed, warm and fairly undisturbed in his daytime naps, he couldn’t have been happier. It was so clear that Mary and Tom were completely smitten with their new bundle, and really… who can blame them? World… meet Cameron.

I have to note, I love black and whites for baby images… I don’t know what it is, perhaps the simplicity of the lack of colour and the amplification of emotion… whatever it is, I love it.

This last sequence is my favourite… so adorable!

Maeghan + Andy : La Maquette Wedding

Monday, October 4th, 2010

There’s something about cozy weddings at local restaurants… even better when the groom is a chef himself and the restaurant is one where he was first an apprentice and now his wedding venue of choice. Andy looked a little nervous in the moments leading up to seeing Maeghan for the first time that day, but he was more than ready to begin this next chapter in his life with the woman he absolutely adored.

It was definitely a day full of sweet tears and heartfelt emotions… Maeghan and Andy, thank you for allowing me to share in your special moments and your beautiful day. You are both amazing individuals who have left quite an impression with your love and quiet tenderness.

Much love & hugs, Jenne.

Absolutely lurrrved Maeg’s shoes… so hot!
