Yes, you read the title right… Road Trip 2010. I’m finally getting around to posting the second half of our road trip to the southwestern part of the U.S from last summer. For those of you who missed seeing the first half of the trip, check it out here.
For this half of the trip, it was Bryce Canyon National Park (Utah), Zion National Park (Utah), Las Vegas at the amazing ARIA Resort & Casino (Nevada), Death Valley National Park (California), Hoover Dam (Nevada/Arizona), Grand Canyon National Park (Arizona), Meteor Crater (Arizona), Biosphere 2 (Arizona), White Sands National Monument (New Mexico) and the National Museum of Nuclear Science & History (New Mexico).
Just crossing things off on my to-do list… one road trip at a time.

This was actually from the very beginning of our road trip in Michigan. I’d never eat at a Big Boy burger chain before so Graham decided to introduce me to the wonderful world of Big Boy burgers! Yes, I think I may have embarrassed Graham as he took this picture. That’s how I roll.
Also the first half of our trip… Yellowstone National Park. Stinky (but very cool looking) sulphur pits.
Zion National Park… quite possibly the most stunning national park we’ve ever seen.
Love, love, love. The ARIA hotel was pretty darned awesome.
Really… what’s a trip to Vegas without a stop at a gun range! The service from the guys at Discount Firearms was fantastic! Grinning like two kids in a candy shop.
Gorgeous sand dunes at Death Valley National Park. I do NOT recommend you walk these dunes with flip flops on… you’ve been warned.

This was a seriously sketchy town of a highway in New Mexico. Seriously sketch. But I had to stop for a shot of this rain storm off in the distance.
White Sands National Monument… here, flip flops were not a problem. No burning feet but clearly I wasn’t taking any chances.
The National Museum of Nuclear Science & History… great displays of nuclear military technology including the bombers (Boeing B-29 & B-52) below.
