Melinda + Trevor : Newcastle Reception

Thursday, August 25th, 2011

A gorgeous historic venue, tons of amazing food, all of your family and friends gathered… what more could you ask for as an ecstatic couple during a beautiful wedding reception?

Melinda and Trevor had beautiful, intimate moments when they were married in Jamaica late last year and now, they had the opportunity to have their extended families and all of their close friends around them partying it up all night long. This night was about celebrating their commitment and love to one another and it couldn’t have been a more classy and fun celebration.

Melinda and Trevor, you guys simply rock! Your families, your friends, everyone who comes in contact with you just lights up at your excitement for each other. Thanks for all the good times in capturing your wedding and your reception! Oh and Trev, congratulations on passing the bar!

Love & hugs, Jenne.

Happy Thursday!

Catherine + Jeff : Serenity Cottage Wedding

Wednesday, August 17th, 2011

No amount of darkening clouds and thunder could have put a damper on Catherine’s wedding day. This was the day she would marry her mate, the mate to her soul. The rain poured down over the beautiful shores of Georgian Bay but inside the gorgeous Serenity Cottage, Catherine and Jeff shared their momentous day with close family and friends, in tears, laughter and plenty of love.

In an area of Ontario with a beautiful landscapes and historical landmarks, Catherine and Jeff also wanted to incorporate some of their own family history as a part of their wedding day. From family orchards to vintage Studebakers, this was a day filled with history. The apple orchard we visited for their photo session used to belong to Jeff’s grandparents. Jeff, as a young boy, helped plant some of the apple trees along the seemingly never-ending rows of newly blooming blossoms. A truly wonderful way to celebrate the continuation of generations to come.

Catherine & Jeff, thank you to you and your families for being so open and welcoming… for allowing me to capture the poignant moments on your special day and sharing with me a small bit of the history in your lives.

Love & hugs, Jenne.

Jenny + Steven : Toronto Engagement

Wednesday, August 10th, 2011

Shooting engagement session in downtown Toronto always leaves me fulfilled… if you look carefully, you’ll find a mixture of old heritage buildings painted over with lush greenery and modern architecture. All facets of structural and natural beauty that I’ve been hard pressed to find anywhere else. So when Jenny and Steven suggested meeting downtown, I was definitely happy with that choice.

We started at the Royal Conservatory of Music on Bloor Street and quickly moved to the hidden green pathways of the University of Toronto campus stopping momentarily for small gems that revealed themselves along the way. Jenny’s wonderful smile lit up the camera while Steven’s romantic gestures swept her off her feet… sometimes literally. Set with a backdrop of old stonework, ivy lattices and sleek architectural creations, the air was filled with the tale of classic love in a modern city.

Jenny & Steven, you are both so genuinely open and definitely in love. It wasn’t very difficult to capture the connection you share with one another and I look forward to capturing so many more memories on your lovely day in September.

Love & hugs, Jenne.
