One thing I love about my clients (also my friends!), is they completely understand me. They understand that it’s so important to have that engagement session prior to their wedding day and, in Katrina and Daniel’s case, they even did a winter fun photo session with me before they even got engaged!

The weather cooperated beautifully on Katrina and Daniel’s wedding day… whenever we needed the sun to shine and the rain to stop falling, it happened. From the looming dark clouds in blue skies to gorgeous twilight sunsets, the stage was set for absolutely gorgeous backdrops for this special day and the lush surroundings that Bloom Field Farms provided for the reception complimented the weather perfectly.

Katrina & Daniel: I’m so fortunate to be able to call you my friends. Thank you so much for allowing me to capture such beautiful moments and I’m honoured to have been a part of such a special moment in your lives.

Much love & hugs, Jenne.

Her wedding day had finally arrived and Rhiannon started it off like any other day… with her favourite cup of Starbucks in hand. There was a zen-like calmness about her and a bit of disbelief that the day had finally arrived… she would be marrying the man she wanted to spend the rest of life with. Starbucks, her best girlfriends and sister and the love of her life, Mirko… what more could a girl really ask for?

Rhi & Mirko: Seriously?! I love you guys! Thank you so much for allowing me to share and capture this amazing time in your lives. Your passion for life and for each other really does spark a special emotion from within.

Much Love & Hugs, Jenne.

When I got an email from Keir asking about photographing her wedding in Manitoba, I did a double take. Wait… did I read that correctly?? Someone I’ve never met before wants to fly ME in to document their wedding day? Whaat?! I was humbled and completely excited. The more I spoke with Keir over the phone and emailed info back and forth, the more I couldn’t wait to travel out to Manitoba to finally meet Keir and, her soon-to-be husband, Terry…. no amount of rain and thunder was going to keep me away (they were getting a lot of rain out there, by the way)!

Despite forecasts of gloom and doom (a.k.a. rain and thunder), the weather was beautiful… dramatic dark clouds that threatened downpours went about their business elsewhere, the sun was able to shine through ever so brilliantly and Keir and Terry looked absolutely stunning and had adoring eyes only for each other. The outdoor ceremony and reception were held at the Minnewasta Golf & Country Club and the guests were entertained throughout the afternoon with a lively jazz quartet. Absolute perfection.

Keir & Terry: For only having known you for a short while, I feel as though meeting you was like reuniting with long lost friends. You and your families welcomed me with such warmth and openness and I can’t thank you enough for allowing me the opportunity to document such a wonderful day for you.

Much love & hugs, Jenne.

I love couples with a bit of history, a little bit of an interesting story that they can tell their children and laugh about years down the line. Debbie & Patrick? Oh they have a story. They didn’t actually like one another when they first met in university… in fact, I think they severely disliked each other but they had no choice but to hang out often… a lot of mutual friends will do that. Eventually, a mutual dislike for each other gradually transformed into something more: a friendship, a courtship, and love. Plot line for a romance movie anyone?

Debbie & Patrick: Your wedding day was absolutely beautiful and your true and strong connection with each other really showed everyone what love can be. I’m so honoured to have documented such a special moment in your lives. Thank you.

Much Love & Hugs, Jenne

One of the exciting moments in the wedding day is seeing the process of the bride getting ready. The transformation that takes place is just priceless. The array of emotions that span the morning of the wedding ranges from calm and giddy to fluttering butterflies and nervousness. And oh yes, Thy was nervous. But as anything with Thy, it’s always an exuberant, happy kind of feeling… even nervousness. Thy is famous for her bazillion watt smile and even amongst the butterflies that were testing trampolines and bungee cords in her stomach, her smile did not diminish one bit. Her big day was finally here and the months of preparation, emails and the long drive from Boston was all for this… her wedding day.

Thy and Ian were truly meant for each other. It’s clear they are ridiculously in love with each other and they both love their applied sciences (he’s a Ph.D. candidate in Applied Physics, and she’s also a Ph.D. candidate in Chemistry)… but that’s not why it’s so apparent that they’re meant for each other. They sing together. From they’re road trip up from Boston… and probably on their way back down… that’s what they do. In harmony. Absolutely perfect.

Thy & Ian: Without a doubt, you are the happiest and cutest couple I have ever met. Thank you for allowing me to document your wedding. I had such an amazing time spending the day with you and capturing your beautiful moments. In such a short time, you have definitely left a lasting impression.

Much Love & Hugs, Jenne.

I loved Thy’s Paloma Blanca wedding gown… I loved it even more because it was a pinky coral that changed to shades of ivory depending on the light.

This is a well-traveled gerbera… Thy’s favourite flower all the way up from Boston.

Thy and Ian are always smiling at each other… always.

One of my fave moments… I love the look he’s giving her… aww. Makes my heart melt.

For the wedding party photos, we went over to the Humber Arboretum. I had never shot there but it’s absolutely gorgeous there!

I know… double take. That’s Ian’s twin brother, and also his best man, Matt.

Ian and his groomsmen… quite a dapper bunch.

There’s a lot of love all around!

Thy rocked her pink coat with her wedding gown… still gorgeous!

The cake topper was handmade by Thy… so cute! The strawberry buttercream cake was made by The Wedding Cake Shoppe… possibly one of the tastiest cakes I’ve ever eaten! The food was pretty amazing too… La Rosa Grande Hall was fantastic with their scrumptious multi-course meal.

Thy and Ian had traditional Vietnamese garments custom made in Vietnam…. they looked really good.

This slide show is a little different from my usual fare and I’m just trying some new things out. Holla at this girl if you think it works! I’d love to hear any feedback!
