Well, I’m done the final draft of my wedding contract template. My cousin Karen helped me out in a huge way (big shot lawyer in Manhattan that she is, took some time out of her busy schedule :P)… I really appreciate it, thanks KP! I needed to get that together since I’ll be shooting Sophia and Mike’s wedding next summer… so excited about that!

I’ll have photos of my Shootsac up later but I am absolutely loving it!

One more thing, I’m seriously considering selling my 350D body for a 30D body on craigslist or something. More thoughts on that later.

Well, the Shootsac has finally been delivered to Michelle’s house in Lewiston, NY. I’ve been on the FedEx site every day, sometimes a few times a day to check the delivery updates. Whoohoo! And, to top it all off, Michelle’s going home this weekend so come Monday’s shift at the clinic, I will have a brand new Shootsac in hand with my awesome, awesome cover (see below)! I’m soo-oooo excited!

After much anxiety and deliberation… I’ve gone and done it! I ordered my Shootsac a couple of days ago and now I’m just waiting for it to be delivered! I figured a) I’ve been thinking about it for the past 2-3 weeks so it’s technically not an impulse buy; b) I just sold a mother of a textbook for $150 to a colleague of mine in a younger year at school, so this can subsidize the cost of this purchase; c) the Canadian dollar is on par with the US dollar so I don’t have to deal with a killer exchange rate; and d) I don’t have to pay cross-border tariffs b/c a girlfriend of mine at school is from NY state, so she’ll be able to bring it here for me! It’s been a pretty difficult time trying to decide, hum and haw, about getting this bag. Since I plan to get out there and do more event-style photography, I think it will be a very useful tool. So, I’m excited! I’ll post photos of it when it arrives! J.

I know the chronological order is somewhat messed up but I wanted to post these photos on my blog for all to see! Wow, I must say this was quite the trip! I can’t believe how beautiful and diverse Canada really is when it comes to the various landscapes it has to offer! I’d say the highlight of our trip had to be in Alberta. Between the hoodoos and desert landscape in the Badlands to the grandeur of Banff and Jasper National Parks… it was breathtaking. J.
