She was trying to set him up with one of her girlfriends. In fact, she was completely oblivious to the fact that her friends were, all the while, trying to set her up with him! When Mayleen first met Sean, all she had in her mind was how he’d be perfect for her friend not realising what the future actually had in store. Mutual friends were working hard on several occasions to set the pair up and finally their efforts were met with success… though, after their first time alone together on a drive home, May animatedly proclaimed during her explanation of her side of the story, "He didn’t even try and kiss me!"

The entire time May explained their first moments spent together, Sean looked on, interjecting only when he felt he was grossly misrepresented, rolling his eyes playfully and ever-so teasingly correcting her detailed recollection of their meeting many years ago (Sean said he knew all along that he was being set up with her!). Bantering and laughter ensued between the both of them as they pieced their history together bit by bit.

May and Sean are such beautiful individuals who met through friends and were destined for one another from the onset. All throughout this engagement session, their warmth, respect and love for each other shone so brightly. Sean’s playful side emerged complementing May’s fresh personality and charm… both were incredible to photograph as they shared their vibrant personalities with me.

To May and Sean: I had such a blast hanging out with you guys and I only hope I’ve done justice in conveying the love and passion for life and each other you share! I’m so honoured to be documenting your wedding next year and if it’s any indication from the fun we had, I’m pretty sure your wedding day will be incredibly memorable! Can’t wait!

So much love, Jenne.

Started the session down at the Harbourfront… the morning light was just fantastic!

What’s an engagement session without a shot of the ring? A la May and Sean of course!

May looks so beautiful here!

You guys rocked this session! Lookin’ suave and sultry as ever!

Can you see why I had such a blast photographing these two?!

Quite possibly my favourite from the entire session… You take my breath away every time I see this photo.

There was this awesome huge frame just waiting to be used for this session!! These two played it  up big time!

May’s very much a shoe-lovin’ girl… we got along just fine!

We got to the CNE grounds and it was like we had the whole place to ourselves… so they indulged me for this shot!

May is going to be one stunning bride…

… though Sean looks ever-so-smooth himself!

Another one of my favs!

Gotta love those shoes!

Finally!

I had the chance to get out and shoot with Jess this past weekend and had tons of fun in the process! Jess is one of the most vibrant people I know and it’s always a nice treat to get to hang out with this feroche femme. We met at school, served on the student association together and threw in some good times and laughs, just for kicks.

Jess and I had been planning this photo shoot for well over a month now and as the weeks went by, something always came up… every single week… until now! We finally got together for a photo shoot that started at her apartment in North York and ended down in posh Yorkville. Finding some great locations to shoot was no hard feat… you put this girl in front of the camera and she just shines!

Jess, it’s been amazing getting to know you these past several years. You are beautiful, talented, kindhearted and you are on your way to becoming a naturopathic doctor… what else could anyone really ask for? Thank you for letting me capture your inner and outer beauty from the perspective of my lens.

Lots of love,

Jenne.

This photo shoot with Jess gave me a great opportunity to try out my off-camera flash photography with my ghetto fab Sunpak 383 and a new lightstand set-up!

Not quite sure what happened here… I think I might have told her to "strike a pose" or something to that effect!

I love this one… she looks so sultry and sleek.

On to Yorkville where the architecture is fantabulous! Jess + fantabulous architecture = one awesome photo shoot!

After some searching, we found a great pastel-y green wall off the main street and a perfect spot to take some photos!

Quite possibly my fav from this session!

We were also on the hunt for some great stairs with a lot of good texture and colour… oh we definitely lucked out on this foray into Yorkville!

And last but not least, Jessica in all her chic-ness and feroche-ness!

This little girl is the newest member to the Sindy-Will family (which consists of Sindy and Will!). She is the most adorable little thing ever… and before some of you out there get a little too excited, no, Sindy and Will did not have a baby girl (if that was the case, Sindy would’ve been the fittest pregnant mamma ever! Move over Angelina!)… no, no, they brought home a little cockapoo pup over the weekend.

Ava is the most adorable thing ever. You know those disproportionate stuffed dogs with the huge heads and even bigger sad puppy eyes? Ava looks like that when she peers up at you from her little world of everything under one foot…. not the huge headed-ness, but the big, soulful, try-to-resist-me-if-you-can eyes.

She’s a pretty photogenic pup, this one so I’m sure I’ll have plenty more photos in the near future. For now… here is Ava.

Happy Thursday!

She loves gnawing on shoes, flip-flops (see next photo), laces, slippers…. yum.

Case in point…

She just happened to plop down like this, ear and all… workin’ it for the camera!

How can you resist these eyes?? Just try it… go ahead… resist! Not possible!

Since she’s still a pup, she would run around for 20 minutes, hyper like a kid who just OD’d in a candy shop, and then completely poops herself out and plops on the floor for a nap.
