Mayleen & Sean :: Wedding
09.10.2009The day had finally arrived. This was the day Mayleen would get to say “I do” to the love of her life, her confidante, her soul mate. This was her day but she was still looking out for everyone else around her and making sure everyone was fed and comfortable. This is the beautiful person that is Mayleen. As she got ready, the front door would open and yet another family member or friend would arrive to help with preparations for the big day ahead, and the words that always flowed from her were, “Did you eat? Make sure you get something to eat! I made sure there’s plenty to eat so you’re not hungry today!” Her love and generosity was only a small part of the amazing woman that she was bringing to a wonderful journey to last a lifetime with Sean.
It was an absolutely gorgeous day that threatened rain… but the weather knew better. It knew this was a special day that shouldn’t be messed with! Both families and friends came together on this occasion to celebrate the union of a beautiful couple: Mayleen with her big heart and Sean with his uplifting soul. Their touching ceremony and reception afterward had me in occasional tears and I am so fortunate to have met and befriended two amazing individuals.
May & Sean: Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to document this momentous day for you. Trust me, I laughed and cried with the best of them… that’s how much you guys have touched my soul.
Much love and appreciation, Jenne.
I absolutely adore Mayleen’s wedding dress… and such pretty light!

Hair and makeup was courtesy of Melis Burman and she did a phenomenal job for May and her bridesmaids!

May’s gorgeous bouquet was arranged by Jennifer Yang at The Flour Studio

Yes, I was tearing up at this point… thank goodness for autofocus!

Love this photo… just married and chillin’ in the back of their Jag limo!

These two are sooo cute together!

Yep, that would be the inside of a Pizza Pizza place… when hunger calls…

May and Sean wanted more urban shots for their photo sesh so we decided to take it down to the Flatiron building down on Front St. and Church St. It was good times with passerbys and cars honking their horns!

Definitely one of my faves from the day… everyone just looks so chic!

Absolute fave. May and Sean just make it look so fresh and easy in front of the camera… beauterrific!

Sean looks ever-so-elegant…

… and May is gorgeous as always!

Did I mention how cute they are together?!?

Yep, another fave… and green does mean go!

Who can resist pizza! Even on a wedding day!

So many faves! I have to thank Jaisa for helping me out with this one!

Next we popped on over to the Hilton for some nice shots on their main floor

The whole wedding had a nice jazz theme to it and they had two big posters made up just for the entry foyer at the Eglinton Grand. Amazing venue for events like weddings and formals and did not let down for this wedding either!

Cupcakes!! These delish bites were made by Life is Sweet and yes indeedy, they were yummy and sweet! The coconut cupcake with the cream cheese frosting was tasty… I agree with you Sean, amazing.

The jazz figurines were way cool and compliments of May’s parents.

May is part of a hula group and as part of the entertainment, they put on an amazing performance!

The father-daughter dance… brought tears to my eyes.

May also surprised Sean with a solo dance of her own just for him!

The mother-son dance… also more tears. Yes, there were many tears that night!

The absolutely, amazing first dance by these two! They had trained for months in secret for this moment and they rocked it!
