For the last day in October, it turned out to be an amazing day… slightly windy, but still, the sun came out to play and that’s all that anyone could ask for especially the bride-to-be. Shawna was glowing on her big day and, come rain or shine, she was going to marry her soul mate.

When Shawna and Kevin first approached me to document their day of vows, tears and joy, I was so excited to be a part of it all. When they told me it would be on Halloween, I knew their wedding day would be awesome and something memorable would be in store. Not only was their ceremony beautiful but their reception at the Shangri-la Banquet Hall in Markham was one that was full of entertainment all night long, including a grand finale dance by the wedding party to Thriller… definitely a fitting end to an amazing day!

Shawna & Kevin: I am so happy to have finished off my last wedding of the year with yours… you are both such generous individuals who will, undoubtedly, have a memorable journey through life together. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your special day.

Much love and appreciation, Jenne.

I love the colours that brides choose for their autumn weddings… so rich and vibrant!

We went over to the Markham Civic Centre for some beautiful shots… It’s not hard taking photos of a brilliantly happy couple! Probably my absolute fave from this day!

Unionville Main Street was an uber-fab spot to shoot some pretty images… especially since the sun decided to come out and play!

The decor at Shangri-la was breathtaking and Lily was amazing to work with. Melissa from Melissa Baxter Events was coordinating the entire day and she did a phenomenal job in making sure everything ran oh-so-smoothly. I absolutely love working with vendors who are just awesome!

This dance to Thriller was pretty darn good! It was awesome seeing the entire wedding party get up and dance!

You may remember from May & Sean’s wedding… Kevin was one of his groomsmen and that’s how I came to know Shawna and Kevin! Speaking of May and Sean… stay tuned for a stunning photo shoot with these two in a bit!

When I got the call to do a professional shoot from Jonothon… I was pretty stoked. He was a fellow classmate of mine, not only at CCNM but also at York, and it was nice surprise seeing him again while attending naturopathic college. Not only that, I was getting to do a photo shoot with the other half of my very good friend Jessica. Some of you may remember Jess from her own little shoot about a year ago… who knows, maybe someday I’ll get to snap some pictures of the two of them together! :)

It’s funny how clients come to me for photos and they prelude the conversation with “I’m not very photogenic, just thought I’d give you due warning…” and they end up blowing the shoot out of the water! Jonothon, for all of your “non-photogenicity”, you totally rocked this shoot and I hope I’ll get the chance to do another one with you down the line!

Much love and appreciation, Jenne.

All one can ask for is that it doesn’t rain on a wedding day and on Lindsay and Kelly’s special day, the weather threatened, it spit a little bit but the rain clouds held out just long enough for these two amazing people to say their vows in front of their family and friends. Though the skies were covered in an overcast blanket, it didn’t keep the warmth and love of everyone present to envelope the entire ceremony like a protective shield.

From the moment I saw Lindsay’s radiant smile in the morning to Kelly’s excited grin throughout the day, I knew these two were destined for a wonderful journey together with their beautiful son, Henry. Lindsay looked absolutely stunning in her wedding dress… very elegant and delicate.

Lindsay & Kelly: Thanks for allowing me to document your special day with your close family and friends. It was always smiles all around and the warmth I felt from you and Kelly will always be cherished.

Much love and appreciation, Jenne.

Lindsay, you look sooo good!

I absolutely love her wedding shoes! I talked to Lindsay about how she didn’t really follow convention and her whole wedding was fantastically unconventional, including her tartan shoes!

Lindsay’s parents have a beautiful Steinway in their fabulous home and the bouquet just worked perfectly on the piano!

My fave image… just love the look Lindsay’s throwing at Kelly!

Yet another wedding at The Manor and still an amazing venue!
