Gourmet in Pretty Brown Tubing

I suspect I may be somewhat of a gourmet goddess.

Weeelll, maybe not so much that I’m a gourmet goddess… it’s this pre-packaged cupcake mix from Sprinkles that allows me to flourish in the kitchen and keep my man’s tummy filled with all sorts of goodies! Today, I tried one delectable cupcake mix that I picked up from Williams-Sonoma Yorkdale at a ridiculously good price.
Sprinkles is a cupcake bakery out of southern California and every time I read about it on some photographer’s blog, I would drool just a little bit more leaving little puddles all around me. So of course, when I walked into WS and saw the towering shelf of Sprinkles canisters with the delish cupcake mix inside… I had to give it a go. If I couldn’t go down to California, I would take back a little piece of it to my home… it’s those little things that keep me happy!

NOTE: I know I’m a naturopathic doctor and cupcakes that require an entire block of butter (I used organic, at least!), a huge brick of cream cheese and enough icing sugar to powder Mt. Everest are not exactly on my dietary guidelines for my patients buuut… it’s all about moderation, so I’ll be sure not to eat the entire tray of cupcakes! I’ll leave two for Graham!

Fresh out of the oven! Mmm… I can still smell the ginger and spices.

Freshly topped with ridiculously creamy, rich, buttery icing…. did I mention creamy? Oh wow…

Look at the smooth buttery goodness that is this icing… except that I have so much left over that I’m not sure what I should do with it! If anyone has any suggestions, I am all ears!
