Nathalie + Adrian : Evergreen Brick Works Engagement

Wednesday, September 14th, 2011

Their relationship started with soccer. By chance, unbeknownst to each other, Nathalie and Adrian joined the same soccer league and the same soccer team. Neither knew the other but after many games played, the chemistry between them grew to something more than just one night of soccer per week. It started as strangers to teammates, to friends, then finally love and happiness. Both of their fates sealed when they signed up for that first game of soccer.

Nathalie and Adrian both brought their A-game (pun sooo intended… that’s just how I roll.) to their engagement session at the Evergreen Brick Works. That, plus the fact that this location is quite possibly one of my absolute favourite places to shoot at around Toronto made for an amazing session. The mixture of vibrant colours on the graffiti-ed brick walls to the fresh greenery of the farmer’s market makes this place come alive and when Nathalie showed up in her gorgeous, summery printed dress… oh, it was so on.

Nathalie and Adrian, I love both of your quiet, yet vibrant personalities. You clearly have eyes only for each other and I’m really looking forward to capturing those poignant moments on your wedding day.

Love + hugs, Jenne.

Love this look Adrian… so suave.

You two are so beautiful together…

Nathalie, you are gorgeous.

Erinn + Roger : Oakville Engagement

Wednesday, September 7th, 2011

When Erinn and Roger planned their engagement session location in Oakville, I’m not gonna lie, I was pretty excited. Oakville is a gorgeous area on the lake that balances both the charm of a smaller town and the sophistication of a hip, urban city. Yes, that is Oakville in a nutshell, one glamorous nutshell.

Erinn, Roger and Zeus (their adorable pug!) set the stage for an amazing session with plenty of cuddling, love and laughter. With fantastic settings by the lake, down by the marina and in the middle of town, I couldn’t have asked for a better array of locations to capture the connection that Erinn and Roger share, right deep down to the core of their beings.

Erinn, Roger, capturing you two (and Zeus) on camera left me smiling long after the session was done. Thanks for sharing that glimpse into what your lives are like together and I’m really looking forward to documenting your vows on your wedding day.

Love & hugs… Jenne.

Isn’t Zeus just adorable?

Erinn… you are stunning!

Just takes my breath away… stop it you two!

What’s a blog post without some great shoes?!

Jenny + Steven : Toronto Engagement

Wednesday, August 10th, 2011

Shooting engagement session in downtown Toronto always leaves me fulfilled… if you look carefully, you’ll find a mixture of old heritage buildings painted over with lush greenery and modern architecture. All facets of structural and natural beauty that I’ve been hard pressed to find anywhere else. So when Jenny and Steven suggested meeting downtown, I was definitely happy with that choice.

We started at the Royal Conservatory of Music on Bloor Street and quickly moved to the hidden green pathways of the University of Toronto campus stopping momentarily for small gems that revealed themselves along the way. Jenny’s wonderful smile lit up the camera while Steven’s romantic gestures swept her off her feet… sometimes literally. Set with a backdrop of old stonework, ivy lattices and sleek architectural creations, the air was filled with the tale of classic love in a modern city.

Jenny & Steven, you are both so genuinely open and definitely in love. It wasn’t very difficult to capture the connection you share with one another and I look forward to capturing so many more memories on your lovely day in September.

Love & hugs, Jenne.
