Her day had finally arrived. Ola couldn’t stop beaming from her seat in the make-up chair. This is what months of planning had come to… she would get to marry the man of her dreams. They were so right for each other, Ola and Paul. And as the day progressed, family and friends in attendance witnessed what their mothers had seen long before their first meeting — the love and devotion that Ola and Paul shared with each other and to everyone around them.
As a reception venue, Eagles Nest Golf Club couldn’t have been a more fitting setting for this bride and groom. Beautiful golf grounds with sweeping landscapes and a dramatic club house in the background? A photographer’s dream. Even as a storm rolled in late in the afternoon, everything seemed to just fall into place for the perfect setting to a stunning day.
Ola and Paul. Thank you for allowing me to document such a wonderful moment in your lives. I’m looking forward to seeing the life and love you share together for many years to come.
Love & hugs, Jenne.
Now how can this possibly be a bad day with a pair of sparkly Jimmy Choo‘s?

Ola, you are absolutely stunning!

If I had to choose one word to describe Auburn and Steve, it would be classy. Both as individuals, definitely so. As a couple? Uber-classy. It’s the classic storybook tale of a Southern belle meeting the polished Canadian, traveling to a far off land to study together and the subsequent engagement and grand marriage. What? That’s not a classic storybook tale? Well, it should be and I’ll just declare it to be so now.
I do have to give a special thanks to my girl Genevieve, great wedding coordinator & clinic owner (a.k.a. my non-identical doppelganger!), who introduced me to Steve and Auburn and created a beautiful wedding experience.
Auburn & Steve, the love and warmth that you share with each other is so clearly an extension of the caring nature of both families and it’s evident that your lives together will continue on with that richness and abundance of love. Thank you for such an amazing opportunity to document a beautiful moment in your lives… you and your families have garnered a special place in my heart.
Love & hugs, Jenne.

Auburn’s absolutely gorgeous Paloma Blanca wedding gown…

A little bit of colour to liven up the day… who doesn’t love M&Ms?

Bad haircuts. Corny messages. Overly baggy clothes and Scarborough ghetto-fabness from back in the day (or was that only me?). Just some of the few gems you glimpse when flipping through old high school yearbooks. You can’t make up memories like these.
I met with Malaika & Kelvin this weekend to go over album options, when a different kind of album made an appearance. Every once in a while, Kelvin would flip through Malaika’s high school yearbook (what up, Churchill!) and flip it towards me and ask, “Is this you?!” I would groan, hide my face in shame and wish I could go back in time to tell my old self not to get that dreaded haircut or buy those awful clothes — Self, short haircuts that make us look like a boy… not a good idea. Ever.
No. I will not be showing that photo. But, I did say I would show the ridiculousness of my yearbook signing habits in a previous post. In particular, when I decide to take up an entire page and continue the note for the next 65 pages along the bottom margin. The kind of stuff I did in high school. Good times.

Happy Random Sunday!
